Hematology

Republican specialized Hematology is scientific and practical

history of the medical center-Khorazm regional branch.

The hematology field of therapy was not specialized until the 70s of the 20th century, and after the establishment of the regional hospital, hematological patients were admitted to therapy departments and treated by general therapists. After the hospital moved to a new building, 2 therapy departments with 100 beds were established, and they were called the "first" and "second" therapy departments until 1971. In the second department, patients suffering from gastroenterological and hematological diseases were admitted and treated. Tatyana Kim, Kuyanova Lyudmila treated patients with blood diseases. Valentina Vasilievna Sultanova, who graduated from the Novosibirsk State Medical University in 1970, was sent to the regional hospital as a therapist. Valentina Vasilievna chose the hematology field of therapy for herself and started working in the field of hematological patients since 1971. In 1972, he completed a 4-month training in the field of hematology at the Tashkent University of Medical Education, until 2000, he advanced his qualification in the field of hematology 8 times in the Tashkent and St. Petersburg universities. achieved Since 1972, 20 specialized places for hematological patients have been allocated in the second therapy department. In 1981, a 5-story, 270-bed hospital complex was put into operation, and a special independent department with 40 beds was established on the fifth floor. The department was headed by Sultanova Valentina Vasilievna and started working in this department together with doctor hematologist Yusupova Dilorom Sobirovna. Qualified medical services are provided by experienced specialists to patients with all hematological diseases. Yusupova Dilorom Sobirovna worked in the field of hematology from 1981 to 2002, and in 2002 she was transferred to the position of chief physician of preventive medicine at Urganch State University. In 1985, Jabborova Gulbakhor Bekchanovna graduated from the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of the Tashkent State Medical Institute and entered the regional hospital for an internship. From 2004 to 2018, he continued his work as the head of the Hematology Department of the regional multidisciplinary medical center. During his career, he was awarded the 2014 Healthcare Excellence badge. In 2018, the young hematologist Jumaboeva Marguba Umrbekovna started working as the head of the hematology department. In 2002, Marguba Jumaboeva graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Urganch branch of the Tashkent National Medical Institute, completed a 2-year clinical internship at the Republican Scientific Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and in 2006 began working as a physician in the hematology department of a regional hospital. At that time, the supply of drugs in the department was insufficient, which did not give enough opportunities for the full treatment of patients with oncohematological diseases. In the last 6 years, the head of state has personally paid great attention to the field of hematology. The President personally signed several decisions related to the field. Based on these, from March 2020, the Department of Hematology began to operate as a Khorezm regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Applied Medical Center of Hematology on the basis of the Regional Multidisciplinary Medical Center. To this day, more than a thousand patients with hematological diseases are being treated and cured. The Republican Specialized Scientific and Applied Medical Center of Hematology-Khorazm regional branch provides services not only to patients suffering from anemia, oncohematological and difficult-to-treat hematological diseases. Currently, patients with oncohematological diseases are treated based on new modern treatment protocols. Previously, patients with oncohematological diseases did not have a chance to live for a long time. Currently, remission is achieved in 60-70% of patients suffering from oncohematological and difficult-to-treat diseases. In the past, it was not possible to treat, let alone marry, young girls with leukemia. Currently, how many of our girls have fully recovered from this disease, are married and have children. In February 2023, for the first time in our region, a hip-femoral joint endoprosthesis was performed on a patient who recovered from acute leukemia. Various operations (cholecystectomy, echinococcectomy, hernia removal, etc.) are easily performed in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. By the order of the head of our state, in February 2023, allogeneic stem cell transplantation began at the Republican Specialized Hematology Scientific and Applied Medical Center. It is planned to carry out such autologous and allogeneic transplants later in the region. At our branch, 3 nurses are working under the supervision of doctors-ordinator Jabborova Gulbakhor Bekchanovna, Matkarimova SHirin Ismailovna, Kudasheva Nazokat Bozorboevna. Starting from 2022, along with our nurses and doctors, they have been undergoing internship at the Republican Specialized Hematology Scientific and Applied Medical Center. This is another opportunity to study one's profession in depth.
