Electronic prescription system: a new stage in pharmacy operations

The Khorezm Regional Health Department, in collaboration with the regional prosecutor's office and other relevant organizations, organized a seminar-training with the participation of representatives of medical institutions and pharmacies in the city of Urgench. The seminar was also attended by a responsible employee of the regional administration of the State Security Service, all doctors in the city and districts, entrepreneurs conducting pharmacy activities, a total of more than 3 thousand officials.
‼️The main purpose of the event was to provide a detailed explanation of the content and essence of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 570 dated September 8, 2025 to officials working in the pharmacy system, and to familiarize them with the news regarding the procedure for prescribing and issuing medicines via electronic prescription.
The seminar was opened by the Head of the Khorezm Regional Health Department K. Tangriberdiev, who spoke about the importance of the electronic prescription system in digitizing the healthcare sector, ensuring transparency in the circulation of medicines, and improving the quality of medical services provided to the population.
Askar Jumaniyazov, Chief Specialist of the Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products for the Khorezm Region, made a detailed presentation on the procedure for issuing prescription drugs via electronic prescription, as well as the changes made to the license conditions.
Deputy Head of the Khorezm Regional Health Department Jumanazar Kurbanov provided detailed information on the procedure for issuing prescription drugs via electronic prescription, its legal and practical aspects.
Representatives of the Khorezm Regional Territorial Department of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Department of Economy and Finance, the Department of Justice and the Tax Department also spoke during the seminar, focusing on issues of interagency cooperation, control, and legal responsibility in implementing the electronic prescription system.
At the end of the seminar, the experts provided detailed answers to the questions of interest to the participants.
